As a general rule, the lower the lamp hangs, the narrower the circle of light it emits.
At the same time, the contrast between light and dark also becomes stronger. The directly illuminated area appears brighter when the lamp is hung low. Higher up, the contrast becomes blurred, the light scatters more and radiates further into the surrounding room.
