Morten's furniture designs are not just pure function. The native Dane is a designer and artist who loves to explore the world. Although his work is in the tradition of Scandinavian design, with collections ranging from sideboards to desks, he believes that a home should have soul. As a new member of the KARE family, he develops furniture that combines function with a unique character and selected materials. A collaboration that stands for the joy of living!

SUBTLE & SLENDER DESIGN

The design idea with the elegant Sheesham wood type continues from the dining table to the glass cabinet in all living areas. Ravello's simplicity makes it a perfect match for any style, providing great basics for a home full of personality.

ABOUT SHEESHAM WOOD

The colours of the high-quality wooden furniture range from golden brown to dark brown to chestnut brown with dark stripes in the grain. Whether oiled, polished or varnished, sheesham has a vibrant and shimmering surface. It is mainly found in India, but also in Pakistan and Nepal. The wood used for Ravello is, of course, from legal forestry.

THE IDEA OF RAVELLO

"Ravello is our first complete design line for KARE. When we decided that the collection should be produced from Sheesham wood, we opted for a subtle and slim design in which the wood plays the main role. Often a vividly coloured and grained wood like Sheesham is tamed with too much detail-obsessed design. In my opinion, this is a design misunderstanding. We wanted customers to be able to enjoy this fine type of wood in a beautiful design setting. And we wanted the design idea to be reflected in all the furniture, from the dining table to the glass cabinet, and to be continued in all the rooms. Thanks to the simplicity of the design, Ravello goes with any style, whether as a stand-alone piece or as a furniture concept for several rooms. This furniture is a great basic for a home full of personality."
